A label (Fig. 1) has an area 1 surrounding an area 2 from which it may be easily detached with the fingers. In the form shown, the two areas are defined by a gap 4 across which are bridging pieces 3 of the material of the label. The two areas could also be defined by scoring, perforations or other means. One side of the label may have a layer of adhesive which may be protected by a readily removable backing layer having separable areas 5 and 6 (Fig. 2, not shown) corresponding with the two areas of the label. Area 1 of the label is adhered to part of the upper face of a collecting box 7 (Fig. 3, not shown), and part of closure member 8 so that it seals the gap 9 (Fig. 4, not shown), formed when the closure member is fixed into the upper face of the collecting box. Area 2 covers a coin slot in the closure member and may be subsequently detached and affixed to another part of the collecting box. The upper face of a collecting box may have an upwardly projecting circular ridge surrounding the label. In another form of the label there may be no backing layer, in which case one surface may be covered with a water-soluble gum or have adhesive applied to it prior to affixing. Using this form, the closure member would have a circular recess to prevent the area 2 of the label sticking to it.
