Abstract

1,154,489. Brackets. H. ZENHAUSERN. 23 Sept., 1966 [23 Sept., 1965], No. 42518/66. Heading A4B. [Also in Division E2] A flanged bracket with plug like sleeves for releasably securing the brackets by screws inserted into the sleeves has receiving means on the bracket with a portion having a reduced opening in which engages a reduced portion of a projection on an object to be anchored, to provide means for retaining the projection on the receiving means. The flanged bracket 2 has two apertures 7 for the sleeves 18 having an annular ribbed flange 17 which engages a ribbed surface 16 at the end of an aperture. The bracket has a guide tube 2b with a central core 6 and an end portion of a ring 9 of a ladder covered by a sleeve 10 is inserted in the guide tube and fits around the core. Tongues 5 on the guide tube 2b engage in recesses in the sleeve 10. Alternatively the bracket has a socket for a bolt screwed into an end of a riser supporting the rungs of a ladder. The socket has a restricted opening so that the ball is held non rotatably when the screws are tightened.
