Abstract

1,153,395. Hydraulic reciprocating motors. INSTITUT FœR WERKZEUGMASCHINEN. Feb.28, 1967, No.9375/67. Heading F1A. A radial piston motor comprises two sets of pistons 5, 6 engaging eccentrics 2, 3 on a common drive shaft, liquid supply to and from the cylinders being controlled by electromagnetically actuated valves 11, 12, which are reversed in accordance with the positions of their associated pistons on the eccentrics by slip rings 14, 15 mounted on the drive shaft. The slip rings have cylindrical portions engaged by sliding contacts 16, 17 connected to a D. C. supply 18, the cylindrical portions being connected to half-cylindrical portions which are over-lapped and insulated from one another, and are engaged by sliding contacts 19, 20 connected to the electromagnetic control circuits 21 of the valves. The sliding contacts are angularly adjustable relative to the slip rings. The supply voltage may be adjustable to adjust the speed of the motor.
