Abstract

1,151,950. Treating sewage. FMC. CORP. 6 Oct., 1967 [6 Oct., 1966], No. 45827/67. Heading C1C. [Also in Division C7] Effluent containing suspended solids enters tank 10 by conduit 24 and clarified effluent is discharged through conduit 25. Sludge floated by gases produced by electrolysis with electrodes 34a and 35a is removed by scraper mechanism 19 into collector 27 from which it may be recycled or discharged to waste. The liquid may be treated with chemicals to produce the solids for the flotation treatment.
