[Also in Division B5] Containers having a window of transparent or translucent material in a wall of opaque material are produced by sintering an outer shell by fusing pigmented thermoplastic particles in a heated mould, forming an opening in the outer shell before or after sintering an inner shell of translucent or transparent thermoplastic inside the outer shell. The opening may be formed in the outer shell by removing a part thereof before forming the inner shell or afterwards e.g. by abrasion, or while sintering the outer shell by preventing fusion on the desired area of the mould, preferably by use of a piece of cold metal which is removed before sintering the inner layer.
