Abstract
1,148,015. Knitting-machines. KARL MAYER TEXTIL-MASCHINENFABRIK G.m.b.H. 2 March, 1967 [10 March, 1966], No. 9927/67. Heading D1C. The needle bar 2 of a warp knitting machine is coupled to its drive 4 by an eccentric 6 adapted to be driven, by chains and wheels from the machine drive according to the patterning mechanism of the machine such that the needle movement is reduced. The reduction of movement may occur when the needles are at their highest or lowest point such that additional yarns may be wrapped round the needles or yarns may be caused to extend over the needles without being taken by them.
