Abstract
1,147,735. Load-carrying vehicles. SWISS ALUMINIUM Ltd. 7 April, 1967 [7 April, 1966], No. 16028/67. Heading B7B. A load-carrying vehicle comprises wooden side flaps 1 having aluminium sections 2 each provided with a flange 3 which engages (when the flaps 1 are raised) part of an aluminium stanchion 4, wherein the distance 8 is enough to prevent contact between the flap edge 10 and the stanchion 4 when the aluminium platform 6 is fully laden and hence is sagging. In Fig. 3, the flange 3 engages a front flange 7 on the stanchion but in other embodiments, the flange 3 engages the stanchion 4 directly, or the flange 3 extends from the rear of the flap and engages a flange stepped back from the front of the stanchion.
