Abstract

1,147,021. Injecting vaporized fuel. D. RABOUYT. April 5, 1966 [April 5, 1965], No. 15172/66. Heading F1B. Vaporized fuel is injected into a spark ignition engine from a vaporizer 11 supplied with atomized fuel from an injector secured at 3, the atomized fuel being vaporized in a space 4 and injected past a spring-loaded valve 12. The space 4 is heated at starting by an electrical heater 6 and during normal running sufficient heat is conducted from the combustion space to vaporize the fuel. The coil 6 is surrounded by heat insulating material 9 and by an air insulating space 10. In a modification Fig. 3 (not shown) the vaporization space (18) is formed between a heat conducting member (20) and an inner core (19).
