Abstract
1,145,908. Soluble lignin derivatives in lead accumulator electrolytes. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. 19 July, 1966 [20 July, 1965], No. 32286/66. Heading H1B. Lead accumulators having improved charging characteristics are obtained by dissolving in the electrolyte of an accumulator containing charged plates from 1 to 5 gms./litre of a soluble lignin or humic acid additive. The calcium salt of lignin sulphonic acid is suitable. The additive may be dissolved in the electrolyte before this is added, or may be added as a powder to the accumulator before the electrolyte, or may be added after the electrolyte.
