Abstract

1,144,434. Mineral-mining, pick-mountings. PADLEY & VENABLES Ltd. 7 April, 1967 [4 March, 1966], No. 9533/66. Heading E1F. A pick box assembly is such that the shank 18 of a pick having opposed cutting heads 19, 20 can be secured in a bore 6 extending through a cylindrical body 3 rotatably mounted in a pick box 1 so that the pick can rock from one to the other of opposed abutment surfaces 4a, 4b and 5a, 5b on the box when the direction of travel of the box is reversed. A modified construction of the above pick box assembly is also described.
