Abstract

1,142,773. Embossing. INLAND CONTAINER CORP. 10 Aug., 1967, No. 36829/67. Heading B6J. [Also in Division B8] A corrugated cardboard box, Fig. 1, having water impervious inner and outer linings is manufactured from the blank of Fig. 4 which comprises a rectangle of corrugated material crushed in the edge areas as well as in the areas marked 84, 86, 88, 90, 100 and 102 to form solid mass areas of substantially inseparable fibres. The blank is also scored along lines 52, 68, 74; 54, 70, 76; 72, 56, 58, 78, 104 106 and the Y lines 108. The corrugated board' forming the box comprises spaced exterior liners 20, 22, Fig. 9, of heavy kraft paper with an inter vening fluted layer 24. The crushing of the boar d converts the edge and other areas to solid fibre board.
