Abstract
1,142,511. Metal vapour lamps. TOKYO SHIBAURA ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. 28 July, 1966 [28 July, 1965; 28 Dec., 1965(2)], No. 34030/66. Heading H1D. A high-pressure discharge lamp contains a filling of inert gas (e.g. argon), mercury, halogen and tin. The lamp is of conventional design and comprises a quartz tube within a glass envelope. The filling may comprise one or more tin halides (e.g. stannous iodide and stannous bromide) or there may be an excess of tin. Three specific examples are given in the Specification.
