Abstract
1,032,459. Transformers and inductors. BRYCE TRANSFORMERS Ltd. July 31, 1964 [July 18, 1963], No. 28409/63. Heading H1T. An intermediate limb 5 (Fig. 3, not shown) of a magnetic core is formed of grain-oriented laminations, or packets of laminations, each having one end fitted into a recess 7 in the corresponding laminations, or packet of laminations, of one or other of the yokes. The other ends of the limb laminations, or packets of laminations, form a butt joint 8 with the other yoke. Alternate limb laminations, or packets of laminations, fit into recesses in opposite yokes. The recessed ends of the limb laminations may be cut on the slant and fitted into triangular recesses (Fig. 4, not shown) for a centre limb, the yoke recesses are slightly off centre so that the limb itself is central in a core having its yokes and outer limbs formed of unsymmetrically arranged mitred laminations (Figs. 1 and 2, not shown).
