Abstract

1,031,293. Inflatable craft. AVON RUBBER CO. Ltd. Sept. 18, 1963 [Sept. 19, 1962], No. 35683/62. Headings B7A and B7V. An inflatable power driven boat has a detachable foil extending abaft the stern of the boat and formed in one part or (as in Figs. 1 and 2, not shown) in separate parts 28, 29, 30 so that the boat planes on the foil on reaching a certain speed. The foil is located symmetrically about the plane of symmetry of the boat and may have parts extending abaft the propeller shaft of an outboard motor attached to a bracket 24 at the stern of the boat. The foil, or the parts thereof, may be fitted in one or more pockets 32 formed on the underside of the boat.
