Abstract

1,025,013. Furniture joints. E. HENSEL. Sept. 23, 1963 [Oct. 30, 1962], No. 37305/63. Heading A4H. [Also in Division F2] In a furniture joint a bush 1 of nylon or other plastic is driven into a bore in one part with the addition of glue, the outside of the bush having a thread 4 about which the glue engages and the other furniture part is secured by means of a self-tapping screw screwed into the smooth bore 3 of the bush. The head of the screw is covered by a cover 7. In a modification Fig. 2 the cover 7 is shaped to retain the corner of a glass cover plate.
