Control apparatus for an electric oven comprises a selector switch having a cam member 28 mounted on a hollow shaft 2 rotatable by a knob, combined with a thermostat having an adjustment shaft 4 passing through the hollow switch shaft 2. This thermostat shaft comprises a portion 4b extending from a threaded adjusting member of the thermostat forwardly through the cam member 28 and is frictionally engaged with an outer portion 4a carrying the adjustment knob. An aperture 32 through the cam member allows access for initial adjustment of the thermostat.
