Abstract

1,024,280. Sliding clasp fasteners. WETZELL GUMMIWERKE A.G. Jan. 25, 1963 [Jan. 25, 1962], No. 3248/63. Heading E2S. A sliding clasp fastener comprises a single carrier web 12 for a row of coupling elements, the web being folded through two right angles at one end of the fastener to form a transverse fold 14. The elements 17 are secured in the web as shown in Fig. 4 so that an air tight seal is formed by the closed fastener. The slider engages over a resilient pad 24 to seal the end of the fastener.
