Abstract

Phospholipid antithromboplastins are produced by heating the alcohol insoluble portion of a phospholipid which has previously been separated from the alcohol soluble portion at a temperature of 40 DEG to 90 DEG C. which is below the decomposition temperature of the material, for between 1 and 21 days until the material acquires antithromboplastic activity. The phospholipid may be obtained from liver, kidney, brain, soybean or corn.
