[Also in Division G2] A lighting system has a quartz-iodine or gasdischarge lamp 1 with a punctiform luminous body at the focal point of condenser lenses 2, the parallel light leaving the lenses being conducted by bundles of transparent fibres 4 to a common light emergent surface 7 before a second lens 8 and the projection gate 6. Heat filters 3 are provided. Lenses 2 adjoin each other to form a closed jacket round the lamp, and may be partly replaced by spherical diathermic reflectors.
