A light cupola comprises a central portion 1 of glass-clear polyester or methacrylate resin with a marginal annular area 4, made of plastic material reinforced with fibre glass, mats fleece elements or fabrics. The annular area 4 may be a flat flange as shown and include an adjacent portion 4<SP>1</SP> of the central dome. The flange may be provided with an annular depending skirt for mounting on an upstand.
