A wire-drawing cone comprises a plurality of drawing rings 2 made of aluminium oxide or glass embedded in a supporting body made of a synthetic material such as an epoxide resin, polyester, polyurethane, modified phenolic resin, silicone resin or synthetic rubber. The supporting body may have reinforcing inserts of steel, woven fabric or glass-fibre and a reinforcing bush 6. The drawing rings have edge flanges 3, 4 which increase the area in contact with the supporting body and act as wire guides.
