Abstract

1,016,304. Liquid-ring pumps. SIEMEN & HINSCH m.b.H. Oct. 16, 1963 [Oct. 17, 1962], No. 40873/63. Heading F1C. A liquid-ring gas pump has two adjacent impellers surrounded on all sides by stationary casing parts and separated by an intermediate wall which extends from the casing to the shaft, and suction and pressure slots on the opposite side of each impeller to the wall. The intermediate wall 15 is provided with sealing means 16 at the shaft 7. The working spaces of the impellers may be connected in series or parallel through external pipes or internally cast passages. Both impellers may be double-acting and the two working spaces of each impeller connected in parallel or in series.
