Abstract

1,015,678. Fuel injection pumps. R. BOSCH G.m.b.H. Oct. 2, 1962 [Oct. 13, 1961], No. 37258/62. Heading F1A. A rotary and reciprocating piston 7 having a spill port 32 communicating with the pump chamber and controlled by a valve 31 and a distributing port 45, is slidably coupled for rotation with a valve disc 21 which controls inlet ports 27 in a disc 22 to the pump chamber. The pump is fed by a pump 41 and during the initial part of the suction stroke fuel flows through the valve 31 back to the reservoir removing bubbles from the working chamber. Delivery is terminated when the valve 31 clears the port 32 on the delivery stroke; alternatively the port 32 may be repositioned as at 32<SP>1</SP> so that output is controlled on the suction stroke only.
