Abstract

1,013,325. Clips; stud and socket fastenings. UNITED-CARR Inc. Dec. 11, 1963 [Dec. 24, 1962], No. 48953/63. Heading E2B. A clip for detachably securing a cable or rodlike article to an apertured support comprises a pair of opposed legs 12 resiliently connected at one end by a bight 10 and inclined outwardly at an angle to one another, the legs being laterally offset with respect to one another and each being provided with a pair of tabs 16 having an arcuate-shaped recess 18 having an open side directed towards the opposing leg, the clip being adapted to be assembled with a support 24 by inserting the legs of the clip into an aperture in the support so that the arcuate shaped recesses will be moved into gripping engagement with a cable or rod-like member 20 positioned therebetween. As shown, the legs 12 of the clip are provided with notches 30 to permit snap engagement with the support.
