Abstract

1,012,383. Centrifugal pumps. MASCHINENFABRIK ANDRITZ A.G. March 6, 1963 [May 24, 1962], No. 8898/63. Heading F1C. A multi-flow pump has at least two similar or substantially identical centrifugal pump units mounted the same way round with their rotors on a common shaft and their outlets connected in parallel to a common delivery pipe. A number of pump units 1 are connected in parallel between the suction pipe 6 and delivery pipe 7. The units 1 and driving motor 5 are mounted on a cast or welded base plate 4. In alternative embodiments (not shown) a group of five units 1 is arranged at each end of the motor 5, or two such groups separated by a bearing are arranged at one end or at each end of the motor 5.
