Abstract

1,009,397. Feeding wooden rods; endless conveyers. J. SCHOWANET G.m.b.H. Aug. 11, 1962. No.30870/62. Headings B8A and B8S. Rods are discharged from hopper 6, and delivered on to rollers 2 for discharge therefrom to the right, by pushers 5 which are carried by chains 4. Slots are formed in hopper 6 by which the pushers 5 enter the hopper and receive and carry up a rod. The rod travels up a slope of the hopper bottom and meets fixed projection 3 which causes any surplus rods to fall back into the hopper 6 and permits each sets of pushers 5 to discharge a single rod on to the rollers 2. Pushers 5 may be of spring, or rubber, and may be varied in length.
