Elliptical tablets 10 are uniformly oriented with respect to each other prior to packaging, and during their passage on a conveyer, by the action of a vibrator 18 connected to rails 17. The latter engage cross-members 11 of the conveyer. Adjacent members 11 have mutually inclined edges (Fig. 3) for receiving the tablets.
