Abstract

1,008,037. Partition constructions. E. F. HAUSERMAN CO. Sept. 22, 1961 [May 25, 1961], No. 6786/64. Divided out of 1,008,036. Heading E1V. A partition construction comprises a framework of channel-shaped members 25 supporting one or more panels 62, 114 which are held to the frame members on each side by resilient strip 63, 64, of generally V-shaped cross-section and disposed with the open part of the V directed into the channel. In particular, the panels are of clear, translucent, or opaque glass and are provided on their horizontal edges with trim strips 101. The panels are inserted into the frame member 25 by a described method using temporary wedges and wooden blocks. The partition may be similar to that of Specification 1,008,036, the frame members being shaped and slotted and joined to each other with covering strips 73, 74 and key members 52.
