Abstract
1,000,753. Weather strips. SCHLEGEL MANUFACTURING CO. June 26, 1962 [June 26, 1961; March 21, 1962], No. 24525/62. Heading E1J. A weather strip comprises an elongated strip of inverted T-section of impervious and flexible textile material with long pile fibres 12 on each side of the web 16 which fibres may be woven into the material. The T-section may be integral and the web 30, Fig. 8, may be formed by folding the sheet 48 as shown, the adjacent parts being stuck together. Alternatively the strip may be of plastics in one piece or the web may be stuck to the base and may be single or double as shown in Fig. 6. The fibres 12, Fig. 3, are spaced inwardly from the edges of the strip base 10, the marginal edges of which may be embraced by a channel shaped holding member 18, Fig. 3.
