1,099,860. Shrinking casings on rear view mirrors. WINGARD Ltd. Nov. 2, 1966 [Nov. 26, 1965], No. 50267/65. Heading B5A. [Also in Division B7] Rear view mirrors for vehicles are made by inserting the mirror glass in a seating or recess in a hot moulded casing of a plastics material which shrinks on cooling, and allowing the casing to shrink on to the glass as it cools. The material may be polyethylene or polypropylene. The casing has a peripheral flange formed with a groove to receive the glass.
