Abstract

109,929. Wit, V. de. Feb. 19, 1917. Collapsible spindles and rollers.-A winding- apparatus for facilitating the unrolling of ribands, laces, embroideries, &c. from the flat cards on which they are usually wound comprises two crosses 1, 2, comprising arms which project beyond, and are hinged to, parallel bars 3, the arms of the cross 2 being also hinged to a block 4 slidable on the shaft 5, so that the apparatus may be collapsed, as shown in Fig. 3, to receive the riband, &c. card, which is bent so that the material on it hangs in a loop which is slipped over the bars 3. A pin 12 normally retains the block 4 m the position shown in Fig. 1, and the winder is removably mounted on uprights 6.
