Junction boxes.-A bulkhead gland for the watertight passage of electric and other cables comprises a frame 1 having one or more elongated openings 1<1>, preferably bevelled, split adapters 3 for the cables 4, and a retaining cover-plate 5. A box-like back plate 7 is secured on the opposite side of the bulkhead. The openings in the bulkhead may be flashed with lead sheeting 10. The cavity between the back plate and the adapters 3 may be divided by removable partitions
