Abstract
1,098,859. Reversible ploughs. V. LEMKEN [trading as PFLUGFABRIK LEMKEN KOMM. GES.]. Jan. 21, 1966 [July 17, 1965], No. 2852/66. Headings A1B and A1P. A multi-furrow, semi-mounted, reversible plough comprises a draw bar 1 adapted to be attached to the lower lift links of a tractor, an intermediate member 4 pivoted thereto, and pivotally connected to a main shaft 7 which is supported at its rear end on a wheel swingable about a vertical axis, a rotatable mounting tube 8 carrying plough shares and having a quadrant 10 meshing with a quadrant 5 on the member 4 and a rotating mechanism comprising a double armed lever 12a, b connected by a rod 14 to the tube 8. In operation raising the lift links removes the plough shares from the ground and rotation of the plough by means of the rotating mechanism will cause reversing of the plough and relative movement of the member 4 and spindle 7 from the off set position of Fig. 2 to a second off set position (Fig. 6, not shown). Reversing may be effected by means of a hydraulic mechanism.
