Abstract

1,110,949. Reversible disc ploughs. C. VAN DER LELY N.V. 11 Nov., 1965 [17 Nov., 1964 (2)], No. 48001/65. Heading A1B. A reversible disc plough comprises a rotatable frame 18 mounted in a frame 24 attached to a tractor hitch linkage 29, the discs being driven from the tractor power shaft through a gearbox 8, provided with a linkage system 80 which reverses the drive to the discs as the frame is rotated. The frame 18 is is locked in the two working positions by a catch operated by a handle 51. As the linkage is raised it causes a lever 35 to be depressed which raises a lever 36 and tensions a latch mechanism which rotates the frame 18 when the catch is released by the lever 51. In a further embodiment the linkage system 80 is replaced by a cam which moves a shaft provided with an arm which axially moves a shaft to reverse the drive.
