Abstract

1,098,847. Fenders. BROCKLEBANK PLASTICS Ltd. April 28, 1966 [May 5, 1965], No. 18927/65. Heading B7S. A buoyant fender has a tough resilient outer skin 24 of a plastics composition, e.g. polyvinyl chloride, and filling said skin an inner resilient body 26 of an inert foamed plastics substance, e.g. foamed closed cell polyurethane. An eyelet hole may be moulded into the outer skin, which skin may be completely filled by the inner body, or, as shown in Fig. 4, the fender may embody a through passage 22 formed by a tube 28 moulded into the skin 24.
