Abstract

1,098,680. Two-part couplings. BRITISH INSULATED CALLENDER'S CABLES Ltd. Nov. 16, 1966 [Nov. 17, 1965], No. 48856/65. Heading H2E. A two-part detachable electric coupling comprises a first part consisting of a body 8 of insulating material moulded around a member 6, the connections 5 to the cable conductors and part of a insulating sheath 7. The body 8 has an extended portion 11 forming flexible walls which make contact with the surface 4 to which is attached the second part 2 of the coupling and which surround the engaging parts of the coupling when parts 1 and 2 are interlocked. In a modification the end 12 of wall 11 makes contact with a flange on part 2 of the coupling.
