Abstract

1,094,382. Spray-producers. PROCTORSILEX CORPORATION. March 4, 1965 [March 6, 1964], No. 9237/65. Heading B2F. [Also in Divisions D1 and F1] In a steam and spray iron, see Division D1, a water reservoir 16 above the sole plate 10 is connected to the inlet of a manually operated piston pump 41 connected to a spray nozzle 60 at the forward end of the handle 18, the pump and spray nozzle being substantially on a common axis. Pump 41 is connected by bore 71 to ducts 73 which terminate beneath an elastic band 74 retained in a circumferential groove in extension 72 which acts as a valve. A cap 75 is threaded on to extension 72 and water from ducts 73 is forced to pass through ducts 78, vestibule 77a and out through nozzle 77 to form a conical spray. Any drops of water remaining on nozzle 77 after spraying will drop on to apron 27.
