Abstract
1,093,799. Endless conveyers. KONINKLIJKE MAATSCHAPPIJ " DE SCHELDE " N.V. May 17, 1965 [June 19, 1964], No. 20749/65. Heading B8A. [Also in Division F4] A conveyer for transporting goods through a freezing chamber (see Division F4) comprises two parallel endless chains 5 and, supported therebetween, a plurality of containers 7, the sides of each container being connected to the respective chains at points which are horizontally offset by a distance equal to two links of the chain. Inside the freezing chamber the chains pass around pairs of return wheels 8, 9 which are offset by the same distance so that the containers remain upright while undergoing movement reversal. Outside the chamber, the containers are inverted and subsequently righted by passing the chains around larger diameter, coaxial return wheels (Fig. 6, not shown).
