Abstract

1318454 Endless conveyers STORK AMSTERDAM NV 25 Aug 1970 [26 Aug 1969] 40840/70 Heading B8A An endless conveyer comprises a pair of spaced endless chains with a plurality of semicylindrically shaped carriers mounted therebetween with their axes coaxial with the axes of the pivot pins of the chains. Each carrier has an outwardly extending lip 9 arranged to co-operate with an adjacent carrier in the vertical runs of the conveyer to retain articles therein. The feed and discharge of articles to and from the conveyer take place in the curved portions of the conveyer path. In further embodiments the carriers are rectangular or part-hexagonal in cross-section, in the latter case the lip is constituted by a triangular cross-sectioned member. The carriers may alternatively be attached to the links between the pivot pins.
