Abstract
1,091,001. Press-button retractive switches. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. Feb. 11, 1965 [Feb. 13, 1964], No. 5908/65. Heading H2B. Bridging contacts 42, 43 and 44, 45 are moved with snap action by a button 53 acting via a spring 56 on a magnetic rod member 36 which has an annular flange 37 acting as armature to an annular permanent magnet 33 with disc polepieces 34, 35. Non-magnetic material fills grooves on each side of flange 37. A spring 54 is strong enough to overcome the magnetic attraction between flange 37 and disc 35 and restores the switch when pressure on button 53 is released. Fixed contacts 48 ... 51 are embedded in insulating material 52 and extend therefrom to act as terminal plug pins. Two other arrangements of the magnetic system are described (Fig. 2, and Figs. 4 to 6, not shown) in each of which a moving armature completes a magnetic circuit in each of its end positions. In the modification of Fig. 3 (not shown) an annular magnet, radially polarized, is secured to a movable switching rod and cooperates with fixed iron discs (20, 21) in its respective end positions.
