Abstract
Nitrous fumes are disposed of by cooling them to condense them to a liquid, dissolving the liquid in an aqueous medium at a temperature of 5 DEG C. or lower and neutralizing the resultant solution. This method may be modified by dissolving the condensed fumes directly in an alkaline aqueous solution at a temperature of 5 DEG C. or lower.
