1,089,600. Electro-chemical measurement. COMMISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE. Oct. 6, 1966 [Oct. 6, 1965], No.44624/66. Heading GIN. A detachable cell construction for a dropping mercury polarograph comprises a receptacle 26 on a stand 31, 32, forming a wine-glass-like structure slidable in a support member 27 which is attached to the body 7 by a bayonet fitting 25 so that the stem 9 enters the receptacle. Three bores in the stem connect to a nitrogen line 15 (for nitrogen degassing of the cell); the mercury supply via cock 34; and the reference cell 17 via line 16. The body 7 is mounted by a flange 10 in a U-shaped support 1 and held by an eccentric cam 4 engaging a notch in the flange.
