Abstract

1,077,170. Reversible windows. OLOF ANDERSSONS EFTR. Dec. 24, 1965 [Feb. 9, 1965], No. 54888/65. Heading E1J. A centre-hung window sash reversible about a horizontal axis is mounted on pivots 9 in bearings 8 mounted on fill-out strips 10 accommodated in the opposing rebates of the frame 1 and sash 6, Fig. 7, the bearings 8 being positively movabe from a closed window position by pushing on the lower end of the sash inwardly so that by an abutment 11 on the sash coacting with an abutment 12 on the strip 13 to move this latter upwardly, the sash is caused to turn by means of the slot fitting 14 on the frame 1 and a cam follower 15 on the strip 13 movable in a groove 16 in the strip 10. The sash can thus be optionally set with a ventilation gap only at the top, as an alternative to the position of the window sash which provides a gap at the top and bottom of the window (including the reverse position).
