Abstract

1,076,462. Filter; communicating sewage. TUKE & BELL Ltd. and W. WALSH. June 8, 1965 [June 8, 1964], No. 23607/64. Headings B1D and B2A. The size of sewage particles passing through a sewage pump (6) is controlled by a grid 9 placed across the inlet of the pump, and rotating tines 21 break up sewage collecting on the underside of the grid which then passes through the grid and the pump. The tines 21 are mounted on rotor 11, which together with the pump (6) is operated by an electric motor (5). Sewage that is not broken up falls back into the reservoir from which the sewage is pumped. Adjacent tines are staggered at 90‹.
