A vehicle storing apparatus comprises a pair of circular tracks 26, Fig. 2, fixedly mounted in spaced relationship, a plurality of horizontally extending beams 28, Figs. 1 and 3 (not shown), forming part of a rotatable frame 20, each beam pivotably supporting a storage platform 22 and having a roller 30 at each end thereof rotatably guided in a respective one of the tracks, and means for rotating the frame to bring the platforms successively to a loading and unloading point. The apparatus is disposed in the lower part of a building and extends below the ground level at which is disposed the access to the apparatus. The frame 20 is mounted on stub shafts 21 and is rotated by an electric motor through chain and sprocket gearing 40, 42, 44. A skid 50, Fig. 1 (not shown), mounted on rollers 52 is provided on which the vehicle may be parked on a platform 22 or which may be used to transfer the vehicle to and from the platform; the skid is moved manually or by power. In a second embodiment, Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown), three vehicles are parked on each platform. In a third embodiment, Fig. 6 (not shown), two concentric storage frames are provided which are rotated by gears meshing with ring racks on the frames or by sprocket wheels co-operating with ring chains. In a fourth embodiment, Fig. 7 (not shown), a plurality of apparatuses are provided, the centres of which are vertically staggered.
