1,075,770. Conveyers; retarding device for a shoot. BERGWERKSGESELLSCHAFT HIBERIN A.G. Nov. 19, 1964 [Nov. 20, 1963], No. 47101/64. Headings B8A and B8S. [Also in Division E1] A conveyer for use in inclined mining seams comprises a trough having, on one wall 4, guides for a driven endless chain 11, 12 to which bins 19 for hauling mine working supplies up through the working may be attached and, on the other wall 5, guides 26, 27 for a getting machine. Bundles of supplies may be connected directly to the chain 11, 12. In a modification, Figs. 5-9 (not shown), the trough wall 5 is omitted and the base (106) is provided with a hollow T- shaped guideway (110) for the bins (126) and the getting machine (105). A safety chain (112) linking the trough sections is mounted within the guideway (110). A flexible apron is fitted between the top of the goaf wall of the trough and the roof of the working. Retarding flights 9, Fig. 3, are pivoted at 10 to the wall 5 of the trough and are interconnected by a chain 8 extending between hydraulic rams (29, 30), Fig. 2 (not shown), mounted on the anchor stations. The plough (105) is described with reference to Figs. 5, 6, 6a (not shown) (see Division El).
