Abstract

1,069,001. Mineral mining machines. ANDERSON MAVOR Ltd. May 28, 1965 [April 24, 1964], No. 16991/64. Heading E1F. A conveyer mounted machine has projecting from a side a shearer drum and a cowl for deflecting cut mineral onto the conveyor, the drum and cowl being mounted on the body of the machine for vertical pivotal adjustment by means of a parallelogram linkage which maintains the cowl and drum in a fixed position relative to each other during adjustment. The cowl may be moved through 180‹ either manually or by power according to the direction of advance of the machine.
