Abstract
1,068,571. Lens turrets. SIDNEY R. LITTLEJOHN & CO. Ltd. Feb. 5, 1965 [Feb. 6, 1964], No. 5174/64. Heading G2J. A lens turret 1, for a photo-mechanical copying camera is spring biased to rotate in a clockwise direction as shown and is held in position by a ratchet 9 engaging stops 7, 6, 5 each associated with a lens 4, 3, 2. The turret is rotated against the spring by a motor driven cam 12 having lobes, one associated with each lens, which engage a pivoted member 14 driving a central pinion secured to the turret. A number of flats 21, 22, 23 on the shaft 11 control operation of the motor and are arranged to stop the motor shortly after a stop has passed the ratchet member 9. A second cam 13 is arranged to pivot the ratchet out of engagement with the stops to allow the turret to be rotated by its biasing spring.
