Abstract

1,068,249. Machine for packaging cheese; endless conveyers. FROMAGERIES BELLA VACHE QUI RIT. Oct. 9, 1964 [Oct. 11, 1963], No. 41274/64. Addition to 1,011,361. Headings B8A and B8C. A modified form of a machine for packaging cheese as described in Specification 1,011,361 has the dies 1 carried through the entire machine (Fig. 3) at the hinge points of an endless chain. In the embodiment shown the dies (1) (Fig. 1, not shown) are prevented from turning by locating devices (7a), co-operating with grooves cut in the flanges (12). The pitch of the chain is such that the dies are correctly positioned at each of the working stations. The wrapping material may comprise two strips of aluminium foil 16 and 18 (Fig. 3), the strip 16 having a tear strip along its middle and a coating of thermo-welding lacquer on its outer surface, and the strip 18 having its inner surface coated with a lacquer. The two strips are welded together at @. Similar strips 16a and 18a are used to make the cover of the package.
