[Also in Division B8] The apparatus for dispensing measured quantities of granular material, such as animal food-stuffs, as described and claimed in Specification 1,018,544, is modified by providing a series of hooks 38, Fig. 1 (not shown), on the cylinder 32 to receive the lower ends of the cables 14, the hooks being spaced vertically by a distance equal to the spacings of the series of holes 36 in the brackets 35. In the alternative construction shown, the closure member is of conical form and the delivery tube 46 is adapted to be telescopic in order to vary the amount of material dispensed.
